Applications are now open for the 2025 NNPC – RENAISSANCE JV University Scholarship. The Renaissance African Energy Company (Renaissance), operator of the NNPC/Renaissance/TotalEnergies/AENR Joint Venture (Renaissance JV), invites applications from suitably qualified Nigerian students to apply for the NNPC-RENAISSANCE JV University Scholarship. The scholarship aims to promote academic excellence and improve the skills of young Nigerians. It provides a yearly grant to successful applicants for the duration of their undergraduate degree programme.

Requirements

This merit-based scholarship is in two categories – the National Merit Award (NM) and the Areas of Operation Merit Award.

• National Merit Award (NM) – Open to all Nigerians
• Areas of Operation Merit Award – Open to Nigerians who are indigenes of Renaissance’s operational areas in Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers States

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:

• Must be citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
• Must be registered FULL-TIME undergraduates in an accredited University in Nigeria.
• Must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from an entity operating in the Oil and Gas Industry, national or international.
• Evidence of being in 200 Level, with proof of admission into an undergraduate programme in the 2023/2024 academic session

Note:

• RENAISSANCE and Its Joint Venture partners DO not demand payment from applicants.  The application is entirely FREE of charge. 
• RENAISSANCE and its Joint Venture partners DO not assign ‘Representatives’/ ‘Agents’ to assist applicants or facilitate the application process. 
• Applications open on the 20th of June 2025 and close on the 25th of July 2025. 
• Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the proctored computer-based test. 
• Only successful candidates at each selection stage will be contacted. 
• Applications must be processed ONLY through the Renaissance African Energy Company website. 

Application Documents:

You must provide the documentation requested. Applications from all candidates must be accompanied by:
• Clear scanned copies of their University Matriculation Examination (UTME) scores;
• JAMB or University Admission Letter;
• O/Level Result;
• 100 Level Transcript and A/level Result (for students admitted through direct entry);
• A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant (at least four months old);
• A Letter of Identification from the state (showing local government) of origin.
Applicants for the Operational Area Award (in addition to the above), will be required to submit two letters of identification, duly stamped and signed by:
• The Paramount Ruler of the Community; and
• The Chairman / Secretary of the Community Executive Council (CEC) or the Community Development Council (CDC).
