Are you ready to learn how to code and be part of a cool robotics workshop? Do you want to gain access to engineering role models? Then apply for the GirlEng Technovation Camp 2021.

The Camp is for 60 high potential Grade 9- 11 high school girls interested in pursuing a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The camp is a 4-day active learning workshop that aims to get girls to start thinking & acting like engineers.

The GirlEng Technovation Camp provides insights from female engineering students and professionals, learn the basics of coding, participate in robotics workshops, and learn about other future technologies. In compliance with COVID-19 regulations, the camp will run in two phases each comprising of 30 girls each running in June-July 2020.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be a Grade 9 – 11 high school girl, currently studying mathematics (compulsory) and science (recommended).
• Show a high interest in pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) career.
• Must be residing in Johannesburg or surrounding areas.
• Available for all four days of the workshop.
