VACANCY: MANAGING DIRECTOR / CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

A reputable and fast-growing Tier-2 Microfinance Bank Licensed by the CBN and operating in Ogun State seeks the services of a visionary, results-oriented, and highly experienced financial services professional to serve as its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO).
Job Summary
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and direction for the bank, ensuring sustainable growth, operational efficiency, sound risk management, and strong corporate governance. The MD/CEO will be responsible for driving innovation, strengthening customer confidence, and positioning the bank as a preferred financial partner within the MSME and retail markets.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve the bank’s mission, vision, and profitability objectives.
Develop and execute innovative business strategies that enhance market share, digital transformation, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure strict compliance with CBN regulations, corporate governance standards, and all statutory requirements.
Oversee the development of products and services tailored to the financial needs of the target markets.
Strengthen credit risk management, portfolio quality, and financial performance.
Build and sustain a high-performing management team with clear succession planning.
Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, investors, and customers.
Drive performance culture across the organization through accountability, efficiency, and professionalism.
Excellent computer literacy and proficiency in modern banking technology and management systems.
Familiarity with Yewa and its business environment will be an added advantage.
Present periodic reports and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields; a Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry, at least 5 years in senior/executive management roles within a Microfinance or Deposit Money Bank.
Microfinance Certification Programme (MCP) or MCIB qualification is mandatory.
Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent are required.
Demonstrated competence in strategic management, credit administration, risk management, operations, and digital transformation.
Proven track record of driving growth, profitability, and innovation in a regulated financial institution.
Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills with a high level of integrity.
Sound knowledge of CBN microfinance regulations and financial inclusion trends.
