FIELD ENUMERATORS AT AFRICA INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND COMMERCE RESEARCH
Overview
Africa International Trade and Commerce Research seeks FIELD ENUMERATORS to
conduct data collection and site visit for its research project. The field enumerator is primarily responsible for collecting and recording research data from the field. She/ he will be in direct contact with respondents and have a significant bearing on the quality of data collected and ultimately on the quality of data output.

Main responsibilities
A.Conduct data collection using the provided data collection tools.
- Conduct data collection of post-distribution monitoring using the provided data collection tools by administering research questionnaires
- Interview the identified participants within the project area to ensure the data and information that have been recorded are robust.
- Document all the findings in the provided data collection tools.
- Compiling and sorting the filled data collection tools as directed by the supervisor.
- Ensure that the collected data is accurately recorded.
- Capture data using digital data entry technology provided.
- Ensure respondents’ anonymity and develop a relationship of trust and safe space during data collection exercise with respondents.
- Identify and report any challenges that could affect the quality of the data.
- Take responsibility for project equipment to be entrusted with you.
- Report daily issues and challenges to the project officers. Any other duties assigned by the project manager.
Competences and Skills
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and confidence to undergo household and community visits in remote locations
- Computer literacy to be able to work on smartphone-based data collection applications
- Good facilitation skills and having experience will be advantageous.
- Good communication skills and experience in participatory methodology
- Innovative, motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Willing to accomplish each day’s work with the supervisor by the end of each day.
- Ability to seamlessly conduct visual, audio and video recordings during data collection
- Have a strong understanding of local culture, political social and economy of the people 10. Languages: English and local language in the designated region/ state (COMPULSORY).
Education and Experience
Current student of a reputable university, polytechnic, or college of education or freshly graduated undergraduate student (Enumerators)
Minimum of undergraduate degree/National Diploma in any course from a reputable institution in Nigeria. (Field supervisor position)
Experience: 2 years post- NYSC (Field supervisor position)
