Job Title: Educational Technologist
Location: Abeokuta, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Design: Collaborate with instructors to design, develop, and implement technology-enhanced curricula, courses, and educational materials.
- Technology Integration: Provide training and support to faculty and staff on the effective use of educational technologies, such as learning management systems (LMS), online collaboration tools, and multimedia resources.
- Technical Support: Troubleshoot technical issues related to educational technologies, ensuring minimal disruption to teaching and learning activities.
- Professional Development: Develop and deliver workshops, webinars, and other training programs to enhance educators’ skills in using educational technologies.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in educational technology support and develop strategies to address them.
- Project Management: Manage projects related to educational technology initiatives, ensuring timely completion and effective resource allocation.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including faculty, instructional designers, and IT staff, to ensure seamless integration of educational technologies.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a B.Sc, HND, B.Ed, NCE, or Master’s Degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in educational technology, instructional design, or a related field.
- Technical expertise: Proficiency in educational technologies, such as LMS, online collaboration tools, and multimedia resources.
- Instructional design: Knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and curriculum development.
- Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technologies, educational trends, and institutional priorities.
Work Environment:
- Office setting: Work in an office setting, with frequent interactions with faculty, staff, and students.
- Flexible work arrangements: May require flexible work arrangements, including evening and weekend work, to support faculty and student needs.
Salary
N80,000 – N100,000 / Month
