Job Title: Business Development Lead
Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Remote Working)
Job Summary
- The Business Development Lead is responsible for driving growth and profitability by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- The role involves building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients, negotiating business deals, and creating strategies for company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, markets and business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor and report on business development performance metrics.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Agricultural Economics or related field;
Experience:
- Proven work experience in Business Development, Fund Management, Project Management or strong Agricultural Economics background.
- At least 3 years relevant work experience in Business Development, Project or Fund Management.
- Relevant experience in the manufacturing or consultancy industry is a plus.
Skills:
- Ability to organize work schedules on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Ability to think on feet, plan and prioritize work by deadlines.
- Excellent Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Excellent Presentation and Report Writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
