Job Title: Computer Science Teacher

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun

Description

  • We require the services of Computer Teachers in Primary and Secondary classes.

Key Responsibilities (Primary School Computer Science Teacher)

  • Teaching: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons to primary school students (ages 5-11) in Computer Science, promoting computational thinking, problem-solving, and digital literacy.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of the primary school Computer Science curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and institutional goals.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and use data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment that promotes student engagement, motivation, and respect for others.
  • Digital Citizenship: Teach students about online safety, digital citizenship, and responsible technology use.

Key Skills and Qualifications (Primary School Computer Science Teacher)

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field, and a teaching certification or qualification (e.g.,B.Sc, HND,B.Ed, NCE ).
  • Teaching Experience: Proven teaching experience in primary school Computer Science, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages, such as Scratch, Python, or Java, and experience with educational technology platforms.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Patience and Empathy: Ability to work patiently and empathetically with young students, understanding their individual needs and developmental stages.

Key Responsibilities (Secondary School Computer Science Teacher)

  • Teaching: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons to secondary school students (ages 11-16) in Computer Science, promoting advanced computational thinking, problem-solving, and programming skills.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of the secondary school Computer Science curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and institutional goals.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and use data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment that promotes student engagement, motivation, and respect for others.
  • Industry Connections: Foster connections with the tech industry, providing students with opportunities for internships, mentorship, and career guidance.

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field, and a teaching certification or qualification (e.g., B.Sc, B.Ed, NCE ).

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C++, and experience with advanced computational concepts, such as algorithms and data structures.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, with the ability to integrate real-world examples into teaching.

Salary
N60,000 – N90,000 / Month.
