Job Brief
- We are looking for a smart and tech-savvy Corp Member (Males only) currently serving in Abuja to support and assist the Procurement and Logistics Officer with activities that are essential for our company’s day-to-day operations.
- Undertake local purchasing in accordance with the company’s Procurement Policy and Operations Handbook standard
- You will work closely with a range of partners such as manufacturers, medical equipment distributors, and other NGOs across various projects and programs.
Responsibilities
- Research potential vendors
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
- Evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports (e.g., on orders and costs.)
- Create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.
- He will be responsible in supporting to inspect, certify and receive goods and services delivered by vendors
Requirements
- B.Sc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field (Desired)
- Good communication skills, able to communicate clearly and appropriately
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work to competing deadlines
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Good Negotiation skills
- Awareness of international development and global health issues, current trends and priorities
- Excellent IT skills (particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and/or the Google suite equivalents)
- Basic Understanding of supply chain procedures (Desired)
- Basic knowledge of vendor sourcing practices i.e., researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors (Desired).
