Job Title: Injection Maintenance Technician
Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Job Type: Full-time
Primary Purpose of the Role
- Responsible for performing skilled mechanical maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting independently to ensure optimal performance of factory equipment and machinery.
- Executes daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities and reports on performed work and any observed equipment conditions.
- Works independently on assigned tasks with occasional instruction or assistance for new or complex situations, following established operating procedures and policies.
Job Description
- Conduct preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs on all mechanical equipment in the factory.
- Perform routine checks and repairs on mechanical systems, such as pumps, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other factory machinery.
- Carry out condition-based maintenance, identifying and addressing any abnormalities found during inspections.
- Execute main machinery repairs and modifications, including alignment of machinery, replacement of parts such as belts, bearings, and seals, and adjustment of mechanical assemblies as required.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in mechanical systems and propose corrective actions to maintain equipment reliability.
Requirements
Academic Qualifications:
- A Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Professional Qualifications:
- Professional certification in mechanical maintenance or a related field is an added advantage.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or Maintenance Technician, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
- Hands-on experience with various factory equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, and conveyors.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills in maintenance and repairs.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and techniques for troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical diagrams and schematics.
- Good problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to fault diagnosis.
- Capable of participating in root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures
