Partnerships Relations Officer


Under the direct supervision of Humanitarian Partnerships Adviser, the Partnerships Relations Officer will support the ICRC efforts in
engaging with a wide scope of partners, (Donor Countries, institutions and the private sector). S/he assists the Humanitarian
Partnerships Adviser in implementing the Nigeria Delegation’s Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Strategy.


Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in thorough research, analysis, mapping and establishing contact with prospect partners (States, Organizations, private
sector, etc) in line with Delegation’s strategy
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and due diligence research on potential partners
• Produce donor related communication and reporting products as needed
• Organize meetings, workshops, field trips and events as needed
• Manage events and coordinates logistics liaising with internal and external stakeholders and service providers
• Follow up on all work-related messages and correspondence with the relevant contacts and departments
• Collects and share information so as to improve the ICRC’s understanding of the philanthropy and partnerships environment
and trends in Nigeria and beyond
• Represents the ICRC in an appropriate way during activities, in meetings and in the field
• Drafts minutes of meetings and ensure proper filing and information sharing
• Conducts any other duties as required by the direct supervisor
Education and Experience Required
• Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Communication, Marketing, Business Administration or any other relevant field.
(Master’s Degree in relevant field is an added advantage).
• 3-4 years of experience working on partners or donors relations with a Developmental or Humanitarian organization or
working on corporate social responsibility in a private sector organization
• Experience with offline marketing campaigns and web technologies (e.g. online tools and social media)

Desired profile and Skills
• Strong interest for humanitarian issues and international affairs
• In-depth knowledge of Nigeria’s philanthropy and corporate social responsibility environment
• Advanced level in using Office tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to think outside the box
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to take rejection as part of the job
