Job Title: Product Design Tutor

Job Description
- We are seeking a passionate and experienced Product Design Instructor to guide and mentor students in developing their design skills.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product design, a knack for teaching, and the ability to inspire creativity and innovation.
- As an instructor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of designers by providing hands-on instruction and fostering a learning environment that encourages curiosity and growth.
Job Responsibilities
Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:
- Teach foundational and advanced principles of product design, including user-centered design, prototyping, usability testing, and design tools (Figma).
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, workshops, and projects tailored to students’ skill levels and industry trends.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback on assignments to help students refine their skills.
Mentorship and Guidance:
- Support and guide students in their design journey, helping them build strong portfolios.
- Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving in design projects.
- Serve as a resource for career advice and professional development in the design field.
Industry Alignment:
- Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in product design.
- Incorporate real-world case studies and scenarios into teaching to align with industry demands.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other instructors, curriculum developers, and staff to continuously improve the program.
- Provide insights and feedback to shape course content and ensure it meets learning objectives
Requirements, Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of BSc
- You have at least two to five years of work experience
- Proven experience as a Product Designer or in a related role (minimum 3-5 years).
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and prototyping tools.
- A portfolio showcasing expertise in user-centered design and innovative problem-solving.
- Previous teaching, mentoring, or workshop facilitation experience is highly desirable.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others succeed.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and relatable manner.
Salary
N25,000 Weekly.
