Job Title: Technical Engineering Tutor
Location: Lagos

Job Summary
- We are in search of an innovative, creative, and self-motivated Engineering (Comptia A+) Tutorwith outstanding skills and proven track records of working with young people.
- The ideal candidate will be a reliable individual who is committed, audacious, accountable, with strong core values.
- This role involves teaching basic Tech engineering skills, fostering creativity, and instilling a love for hardware repairs and troubleshooting devices.
- The ideal candidate will be have a ComptiaA certification and be familiar with common models of laptops, desktops and mobile phones.
- S/he will have excellent communication skills, and a knack for engaging with young individuals. Passionate female engineers and HIV community members are strongly encouraged to apply.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Course Instruction:
- Deliver comprehensive training modules for CompTIA A+ certification courses.
- Provide engaging and interactive lessons covering hardware, software, basic networking,security, and troubleshooting topics.
Classroom Management:
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to effective knowledge transfer.
- Ensure student engagement through hands-on labs, discussions, and practical exercises.
Curriculum Development:
- Stay current with CompTIA A+ exam objectives and industry trends to update and enhance course content.
Lab Coordination:
- Oversee and manage hands-on labs, ensuring that students gain practical experience with hardware and software configurations.
- Provide guidance on setting up and troubleshooting various IT environments.
Student Assessment:
- Evaluate and assess student performance through exams, and practical demonstrations.
- Offer constructive feedback to aid in students’ skill development and exam preparation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Additional Certifications:
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- Additional CompTIA certifications, such as Network+ or Security+, are a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Teaching Experience: Proven experience as a CompTIA A+ instructor or in a similar role. Familiarity with adolescence learning principles and instructional best practices.
- Industry Experience: Hands-on experience in IT support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and network administration.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to convey technical concepts in an understandable manner.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and any necessary certifications related to working with children.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate class schedules and events.
