Job Title: Tendering & Project Engineer
Location: Trans Amadi, Port Harcourt – Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
- The Tendering and Project Engineer manages the tendering process and ensures the successful execution of awarded projects.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Analyze client requirements, specifications, and tender documents to prepare comprehensive and competitive bids.
- Collaborate with internal teams to estimate materials, labor, and equipment costs, ensuring alignment with project budgets.
- Develop detailed technical and commercial proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and technical support.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Provide engineering expertise during project execution, including troubleshooting and optimizing processes.
- Ensure all tender and project activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Requirements / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bid preparation and tendering processes within the oil and gas industry
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, tendering processes, and project lifecycle management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and contractual requirements.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and persuasively to clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software/tools.
Working Conditions
- Salary: N350,000 per month.
- The role involves occasional travel for client meetings, site visits, or industry conferences.
- Flexible working hours may be required to meet bid submission deadlines.
