VACANCY FOR THE POST OF A FINANCIAL MANAGER
A company in the Built Environment requires the service of a result oriented individual to serve as its Financial Manager. The individual will analyze everyday financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans.
Position: Financial Manager
Location: VI, Lagos
Salary Scale: 550,000 to 600,000 (NGN) Monthly
The job position is a senior management. The job holder will be responsible for the entire accounting department and will be required to prepare operational budgets, financial reports, and deal with all statutory matters relating to taxes and other obligatory renditions.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Requirements:
B.Sc. degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics
Proven experience as a Financial Manager
Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
Professional Qualification:
In addition, candidates with any of the following professional qualifications: ICAN, ANAN, ACCA, CFA/CPA or any other relevant accounting professional certifications will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
Maintain the financial health of the organization.
Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
